Platform and Issues

Aggressive & Data-Driven Negotiations

We will move beyond settling for the bare minimum. As Ann Arbor's largest employee union, we will demand progressive wage increases that far exceed Ann Arbor’s 2026 living wage standards. The City has already raised non-union pay. It is time they do the same for the engine that keeps this city running.

Handshake Over Contract

Member-First Reinvestment

Union strength starts with the security of its members. I aim to establish a Local 369 Hardship Fund, a dedicated emergency resource to support members and their families facing unexpected financial crises. We will also launch a Local Business Discount Network, ensuring your AFSCME membership provides tangible value in your daily life right here in Ann Arbor.

Future-Focused Leadership

Tenure without results is just time served. My five-year perspective allows me to focus on the future without being tied to the poor contracts and decisions of the past. We will build a foundation that protects our current veterans members while ensuring Local 369 is a strong, viable home for the next generation of public service workers.

Radical Financial Transparency

Your dues are an investment, and you deserve to see the ledger. I will institute routine third-party audits of all union funds and provide full digital access to financial records and meeting minutes. If elected, I will ensure every member on every shift will have total access into our union’s operations.

Modernized Communication & Access

I will replace status quo with 21st-century tools. Building on the success of my "AFSCME Dave" updates, we will implement virtual meetings and instant digital feedback polls. This ensures that every voice is heard and every member is informed before we head to the bargaining table.

Building Community Solidarity

To win at the table, we must have the public on our side. We will launch Union Service Days—from food drives to neighborhood clean-ups—to make our invisible work visible to the citizens of Ann Arbor. When the community sees the heart of our membership, they will stand with us when we demand fair treatment.
